Instagram! We love it
Melbourne and its surroundings is the perfect city to raise your Insta game, but here are 6 accounts that you should follow to get you excited about your travels to the best city in Australia.
@melbourneiloveyou is ran by Chris Cincotta and not only is he a Melbourne legend, but a talented photographer that captures the true essence of Melbourne and the people who live in the city, his work has even been published in the book ‘Humans In Melbourne’
@melbourneiloveyou now shares other peoples stunning photos of Melbourne when you #melbourneiloveyou, so when you get here add it to your # list.
Chris still gets behind the camera and captures images of Melbourne, sometimes using his girlfriend @milymiss as his focus of his photos to compliment the city.
This account will inspire you to come to Melbourne, so jump on Instagram and start following him.
Ben Stanton is the big dog Instagrammer of the Melbourne creatives, with just short of a 100k following, people just love the content he produces.
Although he has taken some recent pictures of Sydney (we’ll let him off), he calls Melbourne home and often puts up new content about his favourite city.
Whether it be talking about his new Tiny House or taking snaps of Melbourne and the Victoria coastline, he can often be seen taking his DJI Mavic down to Mornington Peninsula to the same beach that we go to on our 8 day tour.
Laura Bell has a hard life living between Melbourne in the Summer and Bali in the Winter, but I suppose someone has to do it.
Her images are blended between the two destinations, which means with Summer just around the corner she’ll be taking some fresh images of Melbourne.
She is an Adobe Lightroom expert and always seems to get the right tones for her pictures, which make you want to book a flight to Melbourne right now.
Similar to @lauraalycebell, Melbourne local Phillip Mahoney loves to travel but saves his best images for Melbourne.
Whether he is chilling down Mornington Peninsula, St Kilda Beach or getting epic views from the inner city like the picture above, Phillip’s work will never disappoint when it comes to inspiring you about travelling to Melbourne.
Kirk Richards is the latest talented photographer to catch my attention whilst scrolling through Instagram feed. Most of his shots are taken away from Melbourne city and in the great Victorian outdoors.
His moody tones are sometimes contrasted with local models, which inspires you to road trip to places such asThe Great Ocean Road and The Grampians, which aren’t too far to drive to from Melbourne.
Kirk if you’re reading…which you’re probably not, keep up the good work.
What is one of the main images you see of Melbourne, those cool graffiti lined streets and what better way to find all those images to top up your own Instagram with?
By following the artists, as new pieces go up people will tag them and the location and you can head around on your own personal graffiti tour of Melbourne.
Lushsux is the artist behind a lot of our favourite pieces in the city and surrounds, he touches on a lot of topics from the media as well as a fair bit of political satire and in general people relate a lot to his art- just take a look!
For the record we would have never EVER put our own Insta down until recently, but we’ve been working on it, it’s taken a lot of blood, sweat and tears, but we’re at a place where all the images are original pictures taken by us, with most of them being on our tour.
It may also be because we had a little (lot) of help from the talented @benn_tk who would make this list but he travels everywhere!
We may not have the most amount of followers but hopefully it will inspire you to travel.
