PARTY YOUR WAY RIGHT INTO 2021!!
2020 has been generally somewhat disruptive (this is putting it nicely). But no matter which state you may be in, Australia is now definitely one of the better places to be located right now (and let’s face it most of the time).

We’ve organised a package including all of these at a special price so you can have an experience filled festive period with other likeminded backpackers, how cool is that?!

WEDNESDAY 30TH DECEMBER - CHILL DAY
After 2 busy days and with NYE coming up, it’s time for some rest to recharge your battery! Today we don’t have any activities planned, but you can check out more of Cairns, visit the Wildlife Dome, Aquarium or nearby Kuranda or Palm Cove. Or just grab another few drinks in the sun somewhere, we won’t judge you!
THURSDAY 31ST DECEMBER - NYE!!
Get all your new friends together and celebrate NYE in style. Despite the whole Covid Madness, the fireworks and festivities are still planned to go ahead!
Around 30,000 people usually flock to the shore to catch the pyrotechnic performances, but you won’t have to struggle to find space for a good view. Anywhere along the Esplanade is fine and there is plenty to keep all entertained from 5pm onwards at Fogerty Park. This includes on-stage and roving entertainment and amusement park rides.
Our insider tip to get away from the crowds is at Red Arrow and head to the lookout for views of the fireworks over Cairns Esplanade.
For the ones feeling like a few more drinks and dances, there are plenty of bars and clubs to chose from. Our recommendations are The Woolshed, The Pier Bar, The Union Jack Hotel, P.J. O’Briens and of course Gilligans where most of Cairns will end their night and year!

SATURDAY 2ND JANUARY - CHECK OUT DAY
Today is a sad day as the holidays are over and you are due to check out at the hostel. We hope you had a great time in Cairns and are leaving with nothing but great memories, insta-worthy pictures and a bunch of new friends from all over the world!
